We’re lucky to have Welbeck within easy travelling distance. It’s a fantastic institution with the respected School of Artisan Food, bakery, dairy and brewery on the same site.
The Bakehouse bread comes to us early morning on TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS.
The staple is the Sourdough Bloomer, a generous size loaf with a fairly open texture and tangy taste. We also almost always order in Rye Bread and the denser, sunflower packed Volkornbrot, brilliant for toast.
From time to time, we’ll also buy in Croissants and other pastries as well as their seasonal goodies including Focaccias.
You’re always welcome to order bread. Our cut off point is 10.30am the day before delivery.
